Planning your trip:

The Bureau of Land Management has lots of information on planning your Dolores trip. The river channel has grown in with willow and Tamarisk, so campsites may be limited. Try to avoid launching on Saturday mornings in order to avoid crowds for Saturday night camping. Lets keep this a river that does not require a permit!

Attend the Dolores River Festival!
San Juan Citizens Alliance is a proud sponsor of the Dolores River Festival, which takes place on June 6, 2009 in Joe Rowell Park in the town of Dolores. To learn more about the event go to: www.doloresriverfestival.com/
