Who are we?
Compañeros: Four Corners Immigrant Resource Center (FCIRC). FCIRC is a non-profit organization with the purpose of protecting and expanding immigrant rights and culture in the Four Corners Area.

Our History: In December of 1999, Alliance members organized a meeting of 25 activists who decided to initiate the Compañeros Latino Resource Center and to ask the San Juan Citizens Alliance to officially sponsor the project. Today we are making history by becoming an independent organization and the only one in the Four Corners area dedicated to justice for immigrants and their loved ones. Our long-standing partnership with SJCA will retain its collaborative relationship and we will continue to support each other’s missions and goals.

Our Mission: The mission of the Four Corners Immigrant Resource Center is to create positive social change by supporting all immigrants and their loved ones through advocacy, education, and integrative programs.

Our Goals
To promote and enhance understanding and acceptance of the Immigrant and Latino culture in our area.

To establish educational programs in our local community that will create alternatives to discriminatory practices and policies.
To work with the Durango Community to establish a hospitable and respectful environment for everyone regardless of national origin or immigration status.
To work with other groups to promote more humane immigration laws and more humane environment.
To work with organizations that seek to eliminate the causes of displacement and immigration.
To promote awareness and respect of human, civil, and workers rights.
