Virtual GBR: Shop Local for Health Insurance

January 13, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

This month’s Virtual GBR is all about local, affordable healthcare here in Southwest Colorado. Our two presenters are helping bring better healthcare to our communities while keeping money in your wallet.

Join us for this presentation to learn more about the rising cost of healthcare and how bringing the community’s voice into the healthcare dialogue brought transparency and accountability to what is often a complex and confusing system to navigate. Find out how you, your family, and your business can save approximately 35% on health insurance in La Plata, Archuleta, San Juan and Montezuma counties.

Registration is required for Virtual GBR using the link below.  If you have an announcement to make during Virtual GBR, give us a heads up by emailing

More about the speakers:

Monique DiGiorgio is the Executive Director of the Local First Foundation and organizes the Southwest Health Alliance on behalf of a volunteer community-led committee in partnership with the Peak Health Alliance. Monique began her career as a field ornithologist and then moved into the nonprofit world and found she had a proclivity for building small organizations from the ground up. Bringing individuals of differing perspectives together to find common ground has been at the heart of many of the projects she has catalyzed across the West. Monique holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Notre Dame and brings a science-based perspective to much of her work:

Claire Brockbank is the CEO of Peak Health Alliance, a health care purchasing cooperative that works with seven counties in Colorado. Claire previously led Segue Consulting, a health care strategy and business development firm and was the lead consultant developing and launching Peak.  She has worked in healthcare for over thirty years in both the public and private sectors.  Claire is an unabashed lover of data and excels in using data and analytics as an agent of change to drive more accountability in healthcare on behalf of consumers and purchasers.  Ms. Brockbank received an MS in Health Policy & Management from Harvard University and her undergraduate degree from Stanford University.
