DESCRIPTION:We’re rallying all avid San Juan backcountry users for a discussion about what’s inside the Rio Grande National Forest’s Winter Travel Plan.\n\nJoin us in Pagosa at the Timber Ridge Clubhouse next Thursday at 5:30 pm to learn more.\n\nA quick background on the Winter Travel Plan:\n\n 	The Rio Grande National Forest is developing a forest-wide winter travel management plan\n 	The plan will designate trails and areas open to cross-country snowmobile use and create motor-use vehicle maps. Draft maps would designate 74% of the Rio Grande (1\,382\,276 acres) as open for snowmobile use\, along with 260 miles of groomed snowmobile routes.
