Come tell your Durango City Councilors that you want to see them pursue renewable energy projects, lower their carbon footprint, and increase energy efficiency here in Durango! We’ll be asking for updates on the City’s sustainability initiatives as well as commitments to 100% renewable energy by 2050.
Increased sustainability projects and committing to local renewable energy would:
- Keep energy dollars local by offering businesses entrepreneurial investment opportunities while creating competitive, high quality, local jobs
- Stabilize energy costs for citizens and businesses as the cost of fossil fuel energy continues to rise
- Protect our quality of life by keeping Durango’s air, land and water resources healthy
